The Promise, On Paper
A chance to see rare early printings and replicas of America’s founding documents on October 22nd
Lake Bluff History Museum and the Lake Bluff 250 Committee invite you to “The Promise of Liberty,” a unique experience usually reserved for major national museums. The program will feature Seth Kaller, a leading expert on historic American documents, who will discuss and present early printings and replicas produced shortly after their adoption, including the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Kaller aims to inspire a sense of unity that cuts across political divides, while encouraging gratitude for the liberties Americans enjoy and igniting a renewed commitment to defend and expand those freedoms. He will speak to local students during the day on October 22, and a public presentation will take place at 7 p.m. in the Lake Forest High School Auditorium. The documents will be displayed in cases inside the school library. Admission is free but advance reservations are required. For more information, scan the barcode provided here.
